Yesterday was a hard day - my ex husband for the first time “punished” by not letting me able to speak to my son when I called - 6 times - even after messaging him and leaving voice mails.  Only calling me back when he was going to bed. Then my son said “mama, you didn’t call earlier”… I explained that I did but that something must have gone wrong with dada’s phone. 

My ex said he wanted me to come and get him because he’s “had enough of his beahviour for now”…. I was outraged, because as parents it’s our job to “deal” with our kids - we cant just hand them over when we feel we’ve had enough. 

Today is the beginning of my week with my son - I have to work, see some clients and then I go pick him up.  I’m very excited. 

I should also preface all this by saying that my ex and I still work together and we had some major differences professionally this week - were we couldn’t find a middle ground, and he is still upset about it.  So I see now just how VINDICTIVE he can be, mixing personal feelings with the professional.
